Outdoor Coats/Wear

Students are not allowed to wear caps, non-school cardigans, hoodies or outside coats, anoraks and similar garments inside the school building.

All clothing and personal property should be clearly marked with the student’s name. All pupils are responsible for their own property.  If they do not hand their valuables (e.g. jewellery, money) to their class teacher for PE, the school cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage.  Items that are of considerable value should never be brought into school and the school will not accept responsibility if they are lost; this includes mobile phones.

All students in years 7-11 are required to wear the correct school uniform.  Blazers must be worn, with shirts tucked in, at all times outside lessons.  During the summer term, polo shirts can be worn and do not have to be tucked in.  School sweatshirts can be worn under the blazer.  In class, blazers can be removed.

Any items of clothing, jewellery or hair accessories that do not adhere to the above policy may  be confiscated.  Parents/carers may wish to collect these items at the end of the school day.

The uniform rule is simple: wear the uniform and wear it correctly.

NB: The final decision with regard to all issues relating to uniform will be made by the Headteacher.
