Year Teams
Looking after your child
You will be pleased to know that twice in recent years School Inspectors have commended Oakbank for the work it does caring for the individual student. Nobody is a faceless number at Oakbank, nor is anyone allowed just to "drift along" without challenge and support; everyone is looked after.
Your child will be in a tutor group of about twenty-seven students of the same age and is likely to remain with the same tutor throughout their stay at Oakbank: tutors and tutees get to know each other well.
Supporting the tutors is a specialist Year Team, all of whom are experienced in the skills required to look after just about every aspect of your child's welfare.
If you have any worries at all please get in touch with the Year Team or with your child's tutor.
Remember: Oakbank's philosophy is based upon the idea that your child is an individual and that individuals are more iimportant than institutions; the school exists for the education, care and welfare of the individual student. We believe we are flexible and committed enough to ensure that our philosophy is a reality and not just words on paper.
