GCSE Results 2019

Beckfoot Oakbank would like to send congratulations to all of our great students for their well-deserved GCSE results this year. The Year 11 students in Beckfoot Oakbank worked incredibly hard for their GCSE courses over the last three years, and many will be joining us next year in our sixth form. This year saw an increase in the number of students achieving one or more of the highest grades 9 and 8 at GCSE and Distinction* in the BTECs.

Students who studied Art, PE GCSE, Dance and Drama will be especially pleased, as 100% achieved the equivalent of grade C or above. Students who studied Computer Science, Business, Children’s Play and Sport should also be congratulated, as they achieved results that put them in the top 20% of similar schools.

Liz Hart, Acting Headteacher, said: “Well done to all of the students for their hard work – and their families who have supported them during this crucial part of their education. We are incredibly proud of the students’ successes, we are delighted to see so many of them staying in our Sixth Form to continue their studies. We wish all of our students well in their next steps. I would also like to thank the staff who have worked with the students during their time at Beckfoot Oakbank. We are hugely proud of all our students and staff for all their achievements”.
