Fantastic A level Results

The fantastic students of Beckfoot Oakbank helped the school achieve even better Post-16 results than last year, with the average grade for A level courses increasing from C to B. Not only that, but the average grade achieved in Vocational subjects was the highest possible grade: Distinction*.
82% of all Y13 students achieved grades between A* and C, with 5 students achieving the top A* grade, 79 achieving A and 85 gaining B.
We are immensely proud of all our students, but would like to make a few special mentions: Victoria Birdsall, who leaves to study medicine in York after achieving 3 A grades; Charlotte Harris, who gained one A*, 2 A and a B, and will be studying English at York; Hassan Hussain, who exceeded his target grades across the board by gaining 3 A and will be studying History in Lancaster; Will Kaye, who is studying Chemical and Energy Engineering at Leeds after gaining 1A* and 2 A grades; and Matthew Cooper, who got 2 A and a Distinction*, and is studying Computer Science for Games at Sheffield Hallam.  Finally, our top performer was Bran Oliver, who gained 2 A* and 2 A, and is studying Natural Sciences at Durham.

Congratulations to all the students on their hard work – and their families who have supported them throughout their school career – good luck in your next adventures!
