What is Enrichment Week?
Enrichment week is the final week of the 2018/19 school year, from the 15th to the 19th July. At this point the current Year 10 will have already become Year 11.
During Enrichment week, normal timetabled lessons will be suspended. Instead, all Year 11 students will have a Careers and Aspirations Week, involving a variety of experiences beyond their normal curriculum. These activities will be fun and promote the values of the Beckfoot Oakbank Learner, as well as prepare our young people to be happy and successful members of Generation Z.
What is Generation Z?
If you're in Year 11, Generation Z is you! This generation is the first true global generation and most open-minded generation to date. They will help shape the 21st Century. They are expected to travel more, they will be innovators and many will work in jobs that don’t even exist yet.
How will Enrichment Week work?
During the week, all students will take part in a programme designed to raise their aspiration, broaden their experience, develop a range of skills and inform them about future possibilities. All students with a good behaviour and attendance record this year will also get the opportunity to visit Lightwater Valley.
The week will end with a celebration event during which we will recognise the students who have shown the most engagement in the week's activities, and their future pathways.
