The Department

Oakbank has a thriving music department with over 125 pupils receiving instrumental lessons.  In addition we have a wide and varied extra curricular programme with at least one activity every day for your child to get involved with. 

We now have the latest Music Technology equipment installed in one of our classrooms.  This means every child in the school has access to some of the best music facilities in the area.  We use a wide range of software and resources to extend the current program of study and give your child a fresh and exciting learning experience.

All pupils learn music at Key Stage 3 and have the option of studying music at GCSE.

There are three full time members of staff in music, with an additional ten instrumental teachers.
