A-level Results 2019

The hardworking students of Beckfoot Oakbank have helped the school to achieve great Post-16 results again this year. 76% of all Y13 students achieved grades between A* and C with 10% of all grades awarded being top A* and A grades. The average grade for A level courses was a C and BTEC students achieved an average grade of a Merit +. Despite national changes to reform the A Level and Vocational qualifications, our students continue to excel.

We are immensely proud of all our students who are moving on the study a variety of different courses across the UK. Some of these include Clinical Psychology at the University of Lincoln, Medical Biochemistry at the University of Manchester, Business Studies at Leeds Beckett University and English Literature with Scandinavian Studies at the University of Edinburgh.

Liz Hart, Acting Headteacher, said: “Well done to all of the students for their hard work – and their families who have supported them throughout their school career. We are incredibly proud of the students’ successes and wish them well in their next steps. I would also like to thank the staff who have worked with the students during their time at Beckfoot Oakbank.”
